Gillen Primary School is a public school located in Alice Springs, Australia. It was opened in 1970.
The school was named after Francis James Gillen who served at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station for 25 years from 1875 as the Post and Telegraph Master.
Our school emblem depicts Mount Gillen in the background with a Cessna 180 aircraft taking off along the runway at the Connellan Airways Airport which operated in the 60’s past the area where our students now play.
