Gillen in the Community

In Term 3 Gillen was invited to present at a Alice Springs wide showcase. Rosy Costa (senior teacher and 4/5 class teacher) along with a group of students modelled part of a literacy cycle highlighting the use of Opportunities to Respond.

In July the Federal Minister for Education talked about the wonderful things happening at Gillen Primary School at the press club. But at Gillen Public School something is happening. Eight years ago the reading skills of third graders was way below the rest of the Northern Territory. Now it’s above. What are they doing?
