At Gillen Primary School students attend specialist Digital Technology classes for an hour each week in conjunction with the development of their Digital Literacy skills in their classrooms. In Digital Technology lessons students develop their knowledge and understanding of digital systems and how to minimise risks. They practice the necessary skills to be Kind, Creative and Proud digital citizens. Students are presented with opportunities to use design thinking skills along side developing their digital literacy skills in communicating and collaborating in a digital environment.
Each teaching space is equipped with a Promethean interactive panel along with a variety of digital tools to enhance learning opportunities.
