Students at Gillen Primary School attend visual arts as a specialist lesson each week. There are many student and community artworks to see as you walk around the school, both permanent and classwork. Each year students from Gillen participate in Alice Can Dance program.
From year 4 through to year 6, students at Gillen receive specialist instruction in Visual Arts, working with a range of materials including paint, textiles, sculpture, drawing, photography and more as they build their understanding of the Elements of Art and the valuable role of visual arts in our communities. Student works are displayed at events such as the Alice Springs Show, as well as around the school.
Each year students from Gillen participate in Alice Can Dance program.
